Wild Nightmare
So back in August Me and Loki were auditioning a guitarist for our band "Filth Drive" loki got ahold of Todd through our homie Tony and we set up an audition at lokis moms place in jeffersonville. bla bla bla bla hail satan bla bla bla. Wild Nightmare started and blab bla bla we talked mike into singing bla bla. we got Gibbons to pluck the good ol low end guitar thingy thats named after a fish and we got a rythm guitarist who didnt quite work out to our dissapointment and we played some shows that were pretty kickass. anyways i am extremly happy with the band. we shit out 5 songs and molded those turds into some pretty decent tunes. Our first 2 shows were pretty cool. i have not been on stage for about 7-8 years and i missed it. and man when i heard myself playing drums through those damn p.a systems WOW! i felt commanding. we did okay too. we fucked up a few things but hid it and pulled through. our stage presense is a bit boring but we are already on top of that for the next show. we got 2nd place at the battle of the bands semi-finals so we go to the finals. after this i dont really want to do anymore battles. the mood is too competitive. nobody wants to enjoy each others bands and theres too much shit slinging. at least we were getting along with the band who beat us "Bullet" they are pretty much a glam band lol. but they have one hell of a stage show man..silly string, poses, syched up guitar playing. they had every trick in the 80s glam metal book. lol teased hair and makeup leapard print flamboyant pants you name it. they were cool dudes so its cool. i think we were the only bands who got along. the dudes in Ashes of eden were cool too. I actually checked them out at the I.U.S band battle and labeled them as our main competition. i couldnt belive we beat them. they should have tied with us instead of "Birth of Zealot" they were pretty good too. im not a fan of that kind of music but they were into it on stage. they just sounded unoriginal. the headliners gig was kickass Loki, Schroeder, Tim and Shane came to support us and im glad because we all had a good time. i thought headliners was the better gig because the crowd was more into it since there was no competition going on. a couple of the scene kids were pissy since we didnt have dance pits but thats okay we cant please everybody. im just glad i finally found 3 other dudes who like the same music as me and want to get the fuck out of here with our music. Im really proud of it and cant wait to see what the future holds for wild nightmare!
